I would like to buy a studio microphone that sounds great ( I need professionnal quality), which microphone should I choose, which model? ( I know that Samson and Studio Project have cheap mikes, but I don't know if they sound great) I also would like to know which microphone preamp I should buy ( Not too expensive)
I have a Tascam portastudio, but when I record guitars, it doesn't sound great, it's flat. What sould I do to have a good guitar sound? (Do I need to buy something like Line 6 Pod, or other?)
Many thanks for your help

Studio Project has some really great mic like the C1, and SE electronics is really great stuff. I have myself a C1. But I can't tell you if it's ok for guitar though it does its job nicely on melodica, cello and voice. The preamp should be as good as the mic/recording chain. The better would be to have an idea of the budget for both mic and pre. Line6 Pod is ok, but it's modeling, you'll be able to try lots of things, but it won't be the real thing. It helps though, you can't buy the equivalent stack of amps
