Yo Guitar God,
As someone who actually knows the differance between midi and audio, you have a long way to go. Midi and audio are not the same thing, and unless you plan on running alot of synth thingies, or at least a midi ready guitar, you are in big trouble. You need an audio interface (and to be perfectly honest, a real mac). The e in emac stands for educational. Not to say what you've got won't do.. it's just not going to do what you expect. I don't know what all ports an emac has, but if it don't have firewire, you are going to be very dissapointed. If it does have an audio in port (should have) that's all you are really going to need for now.
