I've got an iMac with a Gig of memory, USB, Firewire, etc. I sing in a Church choir and need help learning my part. My piano skills are worse than my sight reading skills. Yet, I need to learn and rehearse Mozart, Bach, etc.
I was hoping to find some software and hardware (keyboard) that I can either enter the score (via an editor) or play the score and adjjust tempo. Once this is entered, I need to sing the words over and over. Eventually it would be nice to add the accompanimnet. In a perfect world, it would be great if I can download the music, but entering the score is fine and being able to scan the score would be great. I've seen some stand-alone keyboards with a little lcd display that almost solves the problem. (Display staff and notes) But I still need help getting rythm correct. Any suggestions? |

That's a good idea.
I found a site called Classical Music Archives http://www.classicalarchives.com which had the "Hosanna to the Son of David" by Thomas Weelkes so I can be ready for this Sunday. However, for Christmas we are doing Messa Brevis in D K 195 by Mozart. That was not at the aforementioned. Any ideas? Also, I could use some software that would allow me to play the midis slower while I'm learning it. If I upgraded my Quicktime, could I slow the playing of midis? Or is there other software you would recommend? |
