Hi all,
just wondering if anyone has any experience using these 2 interfaces together with pro tools or if its possibe?

By together, do you mean both at the same time? then no. Neither can you use the 828 alone with pro tools.

The 828 is a great card from what I hear - but it will not work with pro tools. You must use only Digidesign hardware with Pro Tools (and only one interface at a time, even with multiple Digidesign interfaces). No third-party audio card will work with pt because digidesign uses its own proprietary audio driver system. That is Digidesign's really annoying monopoly/copy protection scheme and one reason I now use logic mostly.

however if you mean you want to run other apps through the 828 using coreaudio, then plug that into the 002 (and hence into pt) via analog or maybe even SPDF, that would be possible, allowing your other apps to be recorded into pt.
