Does anyone have any idea how the new imac might measure up speed and track capacity wise, using say Logic Express? Would it be a good or a bad decision to buy a g5 imac loaded up to the gills with ram and a 1.8, or a powermac g5? That's considering the fact you then have to buy display etc. with the PM.

The iMac G5 is a very quiet machine. One of the local Mac dealers here had set one up to replace the eMac they use for their point of sale system. There is very little sound output coming from the system that I recalled. I should have my 17" iMac G5 sometime next week. I'll probably confirm what the sound is like on it afterwards. I guarantee that it will be much quieter than the system I am using right now...
