I thought because of the audiounit/coreaudio/coremidi thing in OSX you couldn't run VSTs in Logic 5 for OSX. A guy from Sweetwater told me that this is incorrect and all my old plug ins should run fine. Is this true? Or is it just that they have to be "carbonized" first by there developers and nobody's bothered? Is this an issue w/ just Logic or OSX in general? I'm stuck between buying Logic and Cubase...I just want to be able to use all my old VSTs from 9.2 Help!

Right now I'm using a somewhat illegitimate sequencer. Yeah, I know that makes me evil, but I needed to try something out, and the whole point is that I'm getting ready to pay $600 to buy either Cubase or Logic sequencer. I don't have qualms about trying something out before I buy it, be it software, mp3s, etc. So I guess regardless of which sequencer I choose I'm staying in 9.2 for a while since my plug ins run there. I just feel nervous, because I feel like either VST or AudioUnits will disappear and take their respective sequencers with them.
