Hi There,

We have recently had an issue with logic 6.4.3 where after closing and opening a session. We are finding that randomly some audio files don't open and appear corrupt, the message we are getting on opening the session is "The file <filename> seems to be damaged". When we record the audio initially the overview is fine & all plays back fine!!??...

We have tried, and bought, different drives and also optimising volumes etc. But it doesn't seem to be a hard disk issue. We are running Logic version 6.4.3 on OS X 10.3.9... on a mac G4 quicksilver 1.25Ghz with 1Gb of ram... and a Motu 896 as the audio interface. This is a new issue as we have been running this exact setup for about 18 months, and it has only just started happening.

Anybody have any ideas as to what could be the problem?? as we are losing quite a lot of work time!!

Thanks,

Cave Productions

Could be a permissions problem, what do the permissions say when you do a get info on the file? Also check the files with Quicktime or another audio app to verify damaged file.

gdoubleyou,
Thanks for the reply. We've tried that without success - but thanks for the suggestion.

Best,
RC
