Hi Alex! QUOTE Am I limited to 8 audio tracks (audio meaning real audio like drums, guitars, vocals.etc.)? No. You can have up to 255 audio tracks. Try the different "song templates" in Library/ApplicationSupport/Logic/ and save "as default" the one that fit your needs. And you can always create new tracks later in your environnement window. See the manual for that. The only limit is the one you choose in the Audio Hardware & Driver window. QUOTE to apply effects inserts, giving me a lot of control over combining dry with wet sound in the final mix. Is there a way to do that in Logic Express or must the effects be applied right on the track? Yes you can do that by inserting your reverb/effects directly in the bus. No need for Aux channels. Routing audio to Aux is limited in Logic Express: you should only use Aux to get additionals outputs for your MultiChannel Audio Instuments (if you have some). QUOTE when I press the spacebar to stop playback I hear a clicking in my headphones You probably need to optimise your audio driver settings. It might also be a lack of performance from the Digidesign CoreAudio driver ... Bye
