You need to open the Environment and add a new Multi Instrument.
You then have to assign the output of this instrument so that it matches your MIDI out on your interface.
You can assign names to multi instruments but not single instruments.
You should also read the manual, it explains how to do this.

What version of Logic are you using?
Have you set up OMS correctly?

If you are on MicroLogic you only have choice of GM names

For Logic Platinum 5.1.3
You need to go to Options>Settings>OMS Preferences>Output Mapping
Assign outputs so they match OMS settings
Do the same for Input Mapping.

Create a new Multi Instrument in the environment
assign its output to its respective OMS output in the parameter box on the left side of the environment.

You really need to give me more info about your set-up if you need more help.

but this doesnt let me switch between different banks

it still only uses general midi, no matter what trick i pull

if only there was a good sequencing program that didnt cost obscene amounts of money...

Thanks for the .jpg, makes explaining things a little easier.
First Make sure your Triton is set up to receive bank change messages, see korg manual for this.

Now in logic; the Korg Triton LE "Multi Instrument appears to be set-up correctly with OMS. I'm assuming your OMS settings are correct.
Now in the environment double click on the icon on top of the Korg Triton LE Multi Instrument (looks like the end of a MIDI cable).
This will bring up a list for the first bank of 128 programs/patches.
You can double click on any patch name in this window to change it so it corresponds to your synth.
You will notice on the top right of this window two boxes beneath "short device name" a box defining bank change messages. You can click select these to change definitions.
As there is no standard for bank change message within the wonderful world of MIDI, Logic have provided us with a few common bank change definitions and also allows us to create our own ones.
Try changing to some of the top few bank change definitions and see if they work with your triton.
From what I have read about the Triton LE I think you can set up the bank change message to be "Custom Bank Messages".
Now in the environment window choose "Options>Define custom bank messages".
Now change items in this list to read:
Bank 0 (a) Control 0 0 Bank MSB
Bank 0 (a) Control 32 0 Bank LSB
Bank 1 (a) Control 0 0 Bank MSB
Bank 1 (a) Control 32 1 Bank LSB
Bank 2 (a) Control 0 0 Bank MSB
Bank 2 (a) Control 32 2 Bank LSB
Bank 3 (a) Control 0 0 Bank MSB
Bank 3 (a) Control 32 3 Bank LSB

Now close this window and go to the "arrange" window in Logic.
Select a track and assign the Korg Triton LE channel 1 to that track.
On the left side of the page you will see a parameter box with
Port, Cha, Prg, Vol, Pan etc..
Make sure Prg box is checked.
Up the top of this box will be the name Korg Triton LE 1.
Click on this and your patch list window with first bank should appear.
Click on the names and check that the Korg is changing its patches (don't worry about the names not matching yet).
Now try changing banks; Click and hold Bank 0 above patch names and change to bank 1 and see if the korg changes banks.
If this works what you need to do now is to double click on all the names
of the patches and type in the name that corresponds on the Triton (all 4 banks of 128!)
Another solution is to go to http://www.swiftkick.com/
Click on "Logic" (near top of page), on the next page click on "Go" next to "Logic Users colection". Click on "Go" next to "Synth Editors".
Download the Triton.lso or TritonTM.lso and import this file into logic.
If the patch names are the same as the LE it will save you having to type all the names yourself.
When you import the .lso highlight the Multi Instrument icon for the triton and copy it. Then go to your autoload song and paste the instrument in your environment. Assign its output to OMS (Korg Triton LE).
Save your autoload song.

Hope this all makes sense.
Matt
