Could Do With Host Cpu Drain Comparason

Member Groupe : Members Messages : 53 Inscrit : 18 juil. 04 Lieu : London - UK Membre n^o 47,155	I am using cubas SE and need to upgrade. My mac finds cubase hard work. I always thought Logic would be worse but I am not so sure now. Has any one here got either cubase + logic or cubase + live 5 on their mac? If so do you find one of these to be lighter on the CPU than the other? Any advice would be welcomed as a sequencer chance is a big step.

Cubase is the biggest CPU hog and has the highest minimum requirements of all the Mac DAWs Live is ok but lacks support for Altivec, and dual processors. I own them all except SX because it's performance was so bad that I sold it to a PC freiend. -------------------- G-Dub

Just as I suspected then. I might be able to keep my much loved G4 imac after all
