I need to transfer some protools recordings to cubase (it's what I use). Any recommendations? I don't want to lose any of the quality. Oh well... Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi dude!
Somewhere in your protools 'file' manu you'll find 'Bounce to disc', click on that (that's after you selected on of your tracks, for example, and I think you might have to mute the others), and then a dialogue box will pop and ask you to name the file, and will ask you to: "save the file as..."...choose AIFF, which is the kind of files you can burn on CD'S...as soon as you do that PT will start recording the track, and if you check your drive you'll find a file with the name you gave it....If its not the same computer you've got cubase on, burn that file on CD, along with all the others, and you can then extract the audio (look in the aduio manu) straight into cubase, otherwise just extract these AIFF files. Peace... |
