Greetings I am trying to config a live setup and I want to use soft synths with logic or Ableton live. I have a G5 dual 1.8 at home that I could use on stage but not sure how road worthy it would be. Just to run a couple of soft synths would a MAC mini do the job? I Dont really want to get into the expense on a laptop. FG

a mini would work decently - they are the same processor as my powerbook i use on stage. But i know a guy who performs with a G5 - he lays it down on its side, uses it as a table, and has a little tiny display - the ones for the backseats of cars for watching movies - that he puts on top of it on a little stand, along with his interface/control surface and other stuff. He runs video and audio from it. pretty cool.
