Hi Guyzzzz... I am a new member out here.... just needed some suggestions and ideas on my issue. I have a 2 piece band and we play for a couple of gigs... As I use a lot of midi files for our performance I wanted to know what would be a good buy - A Sequencer with a zip drive or a synth with zip drive or any other suggestions please... I dont want to use floppies they are so unreliable.

Thanks guyzzzz...

What is your live setup like and what kind of music do you play? You have some hardware synths and you control them with an outboard hardware sequencer and you'd like to move on to Macintosh?

Get an iBook or PowerBook laptop + Logic Express, Pro 7 or Ableton Live + an audio / MIDI interface and run all your MIDI + audio from there.

No need for zipdrives or floppies these days anymore.

True. And I'll add: If you just want some kind of external backup, and burning CDs doesn't fill the bill, get an external Firewire drive. Or an IPod, which is basically the same thing. biggrin.gif
