I'm running Sound Designer II on an old 8100 using the AudioMedia Nubus card, which only has SPDIF (coax) digital I/O.
I'm trying to feed an AES signal to Fostex D5 DAT recorder using an M Audio CO3 format converter, but for some reason the DAT can't figure out the sample rate unless I switch to "none" for SCMC. In this mode the CO3 flashes to indicate that AES is invalid, and any copy sounds like crap.
Any ideas why this won't work?

NO, you can't have any more monitor! 130dB is quite enough!
