But I'm sure you'll find lots of info on how-to elsewhere. But maybe it's only to make a back up copy of your own DVDs… (in the countries where it's legal).

ok..... well here it goes 1st you will need a ripping utility that removes the copy protection (i use mac the ripper myself a great utility that i got off mac update (http://www.macupdate.com/search.php?keywords=mac+the+ripper&os=macosx&button.x=15&button.y=12)) this will allow u too put the disk info on your hd. bear in mind that a dvd contains a-lot of info with all that extra stuff that they put on it 10 gb or something like that and your typical dvd only holds 6 so you will need to invest in a double layer burner if you want to make a exact copy of your dvd's with toast but it will do it. BUT THIS SHOULD BE FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY so don't go giving these bootlegged movies to friends or the copy police will come down on ya.....
