Hi all...

Just got a mac to do music production - I finally made the switch from a PC.

I've got an Echo Darla card I'd like to use, but can only seem to get certain programs to find the card by placing the ASIO drivers in the appropriate folder.

How do I install drivers so the OS sees them?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

it's as simple as that, if placing the driver in the application's asio driver folder within the application's folder and selecting it in the sound control panel dosen't work, it's either not asio compliant (in which case it's documentation will give you specific information on this subject) or it just isn't 'gonna work until they release an update to support your card ! angry.gif
which apps aren't working ? huh.gif

Actually, all the apps that have an ASIO folder work fine... but how do I get the sound card to work with all my applications? When I install the card with windows, there's an option in the OS to use the card for all programs, as a system sound card. Is there any way to do this with the Mac?

Thanks!

The sound control panel, under the apple menu, will allow you to choose your hardware.

Thanks for your response.

I've checked and rechecked... the sound card just doesn't show up there. I only have one option for sound, and that's the system's audio card. I can put ASIO drivers in my ReCycle ASIO folder, and the card works just fine, but I can not choose this card as a system sound card. Is there a place I can put the ASIO files so the OS reads them?

Thanks for your patience and help!

Chris

geedoubleyou confirmed it.  wink.gif
only two things you can do here.
get onto the card manufacturers about their drivers or switch to a different version of os, you didn't mention which version you're using.  smile.gif
ironically, it may require an older os version.  huh.gif
catch you later...
