Logic Plugin For Exs, piano & drums Options

I need some decent paino and drum samples to add to the EXS in Logic Pro for my students to access. I know there is a Bosendorfer sample available. Any suggestions?

I haven't had any luck finding Piano samples I really liked since using the Bosendorfer sounds on my EMU-E4XT. And that was only an 8 MB sound!! that is until I played the East West Bosendorfer 290. It's really the best sounding piano sample I've ever heard. Also the Stienway Galaxy 5.1 is excellent. I have both, which are Kompact instruments, but being in Logic you should be able to run these easily enough as AU, which is what I do too.

Thanks! I heard about the Bosendorfer and will go with that.

I really need some drum sounds since the EXS only has the GM kit. My kids are going to freak if they can't make "phat beats" on a number of cool sounding kits. I know they can creat their own sounds but right now I want them concentrating on making music and not making instruments.

Well, although I've used the EXS and like it, I'm not too familiar with new Libraries available for it. I was also frustrated by it's lack of utilizing Multi's or Banks.

But if you are looking for a decent broad array good drums sounds, The Battery Application comes with an entire disc worth, along with something like 60 or so kits for it. When it comes to Drum programming that's the first place I go, I like the interface a lot too.

Perhaps some else will recomend a good EXS resource.

If you've not purchased Native Instruments Products before, give yourself about 30 minutes to get through the process of authorizing your machine the first time. It's a lot easier after you are familiar with the process though.

The battery Application? Is that a NI product? I'll check the website. I'll definately go with the East West Bosendorfer. I hear such good things about it from many people.

The best drum sample pack (sf2) I've ran across can be found at Natural Studio. They also have a piano (have not tryed it), and a bass (pretty darn good).
