 50 Not 51!, getting patchlists to start on 0 in DP |

I upgraded to DP 4.12 and am trying to iron out my MIDI setup. Almost have it like it was with 3.11 but with the earlier version I could use Patchlist editor to create custom patches and now I usse Cherrypicker.
The problem is the custom list for my KStation starts with 1 in DP but at 0 on the synth itself. I've renumbered the patchlist (cherrypicker) to start with 1 so DP and the patchlist shake hands, but it gets confusing when DP says I'm using patch 51 while the local controls synth display patch 50.
My Alesis Midiverb 4 (a MOTU supplied patchlist) starts on 0-works great, does anyone know what I am overlooking?
