I'm using a Presonus TubePre along with a M-Audio MobilePre and love them both. The Presonus TubePre is great with my condenser mic and gives my vocals and acoustic guitar a nice clean warm sound. Hope this helps.

I'm also using a B-1 cond. mic with guitar and vocals. The Presonus TubePre will work in a rack. The Presonus gives a nice warm sound and is around $100. Check out: www.8thstreet.com/product.asp?ProductCode=6174&Category=Audio_Processors and www.8thstreet.com/product.asp?ProductCode=21144&Category=Recording_Accessories Hope this helps.

If you know a little bit about electronics and soldering, I would recommend the Paia Mic-Pre kit. I have had great luck with it for some applications.
