Hello!!!
One question, I have the new Cubase SX3 with a Apple G5 Dual core 2,3Ghz Ram 2,5 Gigas with the project empty with only one Plug-in L3 in the out master the consume up to 20%. This behaviour is normal?¿? Ah! I have 10,4,4 osx version Do you know how can I optimize my computer¿? Thanks!!

Open at the same time the Terminal and type "top". It'll list all processes and you'll be able to see which one are eating up CPU in detail (as long it's in separated processes).
It may help corner if it's Cubase or something else.

Well SX DOES have the highest requirements of all the Mac DAWs, even at that you have probably the machine that can handle it the best.

Not surprising at all. One way of getting around this is to "freeze" your track (I know this can be done with Ableton Live/ Pro Tools & I think it can be done with Logic as well & I would be surprised if Cubase didn't offer something like it as well).
