Howdy there!!!
Just getting excited with Logic Express and I have 2 quick questions....

1) is is possible to f@#$ with samples... ie..can I fade in/out loops??
I am wanting to fade in a synth pad and my mac won't let me.
What are my options???

2) when I am playing the complete track, I occasionally get messages such as..." an error occured with syncing audio and midi".
It doesnt seem to jam my track up but it is a little concerning.
Any help???

Thanks dudes

As far as I know, you can't f@#$ with samples. That is an activity reserved for carbon-based life forms.

Okay. On to the questions. Do you want to fade your loops in with the volume controls? You can draw in volume parameters on a track-by-track basis.

Your audio/midi sync error messages may be RAM issues. How much RAM do you have in your Mac?

Write back and give me some more detail and I'll try to answer a little more in-depth.

Now for the soapbox.

Okay, everybody. It's getting to the point on this site where every other posting I see has somebody f***ing something or talking about their s***. I feel like I'm reading pre-teen musings on a junior high school bathroom wall most of the time rather than a message board frequented by intelligent, literate, mature human beings.

I've brought this argument up before, but I'd like to repeat that there are kids using this site as well as adults (including my niece and nephew), and I don't relish the idea of them having to wade through four-letter words any more than I want to wade through them myself.

The last time I brought this up, a member answered me by saying, "If you don't want your niece and nephew reading it, then don't let them on the site. Freedom of speech, man!" Okay. Freedom of speech, yay. I'm all about the First Amendment. But part of the Freedom of Speech is the freedom from having to use the basest form of that speech to get your point across. It's the freedom to educate oneself to a new level of consciousness where the use of juvenile language is no longer necessary.

Sincerely,
