I am enquiring if there are any users out ther using an Edirol UA-25 with an iBook, and having good success?
I am in the process of returning an M-Audio Firewire Audiofile, because I could not make it work with my iBook, the software just does not recognize the box when connected to my iBook. This could be related to OSX Tiger issues, but I tried everything tech support told me to try, with no luck. This included repairing disk permissions, and removing the previous install with the sudo command. The Edirol UA-25 looks like a nice unit, in a similar price range as the m-audio unit. I want someting that I can use with Garageband for audio and midi in/out in the 150-250 price range. Any comments greatly appreciated! Thank-you! |
