Hi, I thought I'd come to the board for some insight on setting up a project studio for recording on a budget. I'm from the USA but I'm currently here in Asia to work on a music project and have a limited budget of about $10,000 to spend on a studio setup. I would like it to be a protools le setup, since the protools hd is a bit more. So what are your suggestions on this matter? I own some mics, a digital piano and electronic drumset as well as the marantz 670. Also which is better the lacie d2 rackmount drive or the glyph rackmount drive? Should I invest in a G5 powermac for future upgrades or should I just settle with a G5 imac? Which is better command 8 digidesign or mackie universal control? And is dual monitors a necessity? Thanks.
Ray
