HI my name is Anna and i´m 18 years old from Iceland. I recently bought a powerbook and I need a sequencer that supports VST for it. Is it possible to find Cracked versions of Cubase or Logic or are there any free Sequencers out there?
Thanks in advance, Anna, aka Tralli Polli. |

Typically. Buying a sound card or midi interface comes bundled with lite versions of popular programs.
You can also purchase lite versions of most popular software. Using software without a license is illegal and takes money out of the pockets of people who deserve to be compensated. |

Dear Anna
You could do worse than to start with: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/mac/MIDI_SEQUENCERS/ With regard to cracked versions, ask yourself how you would feel if you had spent two years developing commercial software & then you found it available on the web for nothing. No-one gains from illegally copied software & if you travel internationally with your Powerbook, it could be liable to a customs search for pirated software on your machine, resulting in the confiscation of your treasured machine. So, resist the temptation to go down the illegal software road for all our sakes. One pirated piece of software puts up the price for everybody else. |

And Anna, K, Kracks, piracy software are big NO NO here…
But there's enough Free, light or dirt cheap software around to enable you to start making things. There's even a huge open source project being developped by an american university so entirely free. The fact that things are available on the net, doesn't mean they are legal, and the work of sometime dozens of people has to be respected. Also, you should know a lot of developpers and editors are coming here too… -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home

Why not use Garage Band, should be loaded on a new Powerbook, it uses the the mac osx audio unit format that is superior to VST, Garge band allows you to use the built-in instruments, and the many free audio unit plugins available.
And if you have to use a VST plug the VST to AU adapter will create audio unit versions of the VST plug. Check out some of the Garage Band communities. http://www.macjams.com http://www.icompositions.com http://www.macidol.com http://macjukebox.net/ http://www.macband.com/ -------------------- G-Dub
