Hello all
I use reason to make my own little pieces that fit with my animations and stuff. I wanted to purchase a M-audio oxygen 8 usb keyboard, so i could use it with reason, but will i need to get an external sound card to it on the emac? or can i just use it through my usb. Will the drivers installed be enough for the keyboard to work with reason. Great for any help and anyone with any comments on this keyboard. Thanks Regards Zac |

It should be fine.
The Oxygen 8 has USB on it, so you can send your emac midi signals through that. |

Zack,
This is how it works on my Mac G4 tower; You will get a driver CD with the Oxygen 8. It will install a MIDI driver. Then a MIDI port option in Reason MIDI options called either "Keystation or Port1" should appear. If Reason gives you the choice, as I believe it should, you can use the "built in audio controller" on the Mac, and you will not need an external sound card. HOWEVER, I am NOT familiar with the "EMAC", or which OS you're using, so you will need to find out if it meets the requirements of Maudio (Oxygen 8) to run as I have outliined. good luck stan Ce message a été modifié par stan8 - dim. 15 févr. 2004, 16:40. |

I was just checking and discovered there is another nice looking model very similar "Evolution MK225C MIDI", do the drivers work the same as the "M-Audio Oxygen 8" and is it better or worse, what do you think?
Thanks again Zac |
