J'ai vu cela pour toi sur le site digidesign:

* I'm running 9.2 but OSX is on the machine as well, just a restart away.
I just installed a ATI Radeon card and am up and running Dual monitor style. very nice and it doesn't seem to effect PT performance. I also got Toast Ti and backed up 4.2 Gigs of old sessions on a DVD-r.
I thought I would have many more problems getting up and running in 9.2 but it was smooth and quick.
This is much more like it.
hope ya get yours soon.

et * Yea I ordered mine from Apple on Sunday the 22nd and got it on thurs. the 26th. Judging from the site I thought I would wait for at least two weeks but lo and behold there was the shipping notice in my inbox. Definetly so much better than my 400. I almost feel like it sounds better than the old G4. I know that sounds crazy but check it. I was in the midle of a scoring project running 24 tracks of audio 15 midi tracksa quicktime movie and 7 plugs (w/2 reverbs) and my 400 was choking bad. I would have to turn off the quicktime to get smooth operations even at 1028. So I get the 867 and the next night I'm up in running in PT. No problems. I used the Apple restore discs which install both OS X and 9.2. I had read somewhere in the DUC from a digi guy that you could run PT on the new machines with OSX installed.I'm sorry this is rather circiutious but bear with me.
So I open up the session on the 867 and it runs effortlessy at a third of capacity. And I swore it sounded more dimesional, defined and rich. It sounded to me like an average converter being clocked by a very accurate clock source. More phase coherence or something. So I thought maybe the over taxed 400 couldn't generate as stable a digital clock signal as the 867 at a third of cpu, pci, system resources. Anyway
It just better all around a much happier PT experience.
and the 4.7 gig of backup is very helpful .
good luck

Now I see why it's not Digi's priority to utilize the Velocity Engine, there go the farm card sales. hahaha

Tiens nous au courant
