Hi all,
I am looking to make a mix of all of my iTunes songs with different transitions between each song as well as shorten some songs. I have been looking at several pieces of software aimed at the D.J. but have not seen a way to record the mix directly back to the Hard Drive. I have been able to mix successfully but don't see a way to write the information to disk. I wish to go this route as I can then burn it directly to a cd. Do any of you have any favorites out there? I've played with the DJ-1800 mixer and kind of like that approach. I haven't been able to figure out how to save the mix to disk. Any ideas? Thanks for any help, Ed |

What about Pro Tools? You could import the files from your iTunes library, then create crossfades and edit however you want. then bounce them to new files you could burn to CD from iTunes.
I think you can use all those features in the free version of Pro Tools, downloadable at digidesign.com. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I just ordered ProTools so I'll let you know.
I just hope the interface is not too intimidating nor overkill for what I wish to accomplish. Ed |
