Could anyone recommend a decent USB hub for use with a G4 Mac? Just upgraded to Logic 6 and have no spare USB socket for the dongle..

Thanks in advance!

Well not all are created equal, the one I have keeps losing connection and is made by BT Network&Communication, forget it!

I had another one which was great before but I can't remember the trademark sad.gif

Yeah, I have one of those Griffin hubs. Works very well - it's full duplex, which apparently a lot of hubs aren't. I never use it any more, though, as I have enough spare USB ports on my PowerMac - my Logic dongle is permanently attached to the keyboard.

If portability or small profile is an issue, the Kensington Pocket Hub is a good choice.

Belkin makes good stuff.

I have the Kensington, and one nice thing is that if you are connecting devices that don't draw much power (mouse, simple MIDI interface, access key, etc,), you don't need to hook up the power supply. If you do need the power (for an audio interface, printer, scanner, etc.) you can always hook up the AC supply.
