Somebody help!

I can't seem to get rid of the clicks n pops i'm hearing during playback. It is not on the tracks themself, but is some sort of monitoring issue.

My set up is as follows

--Mac G3 PB, os 9.1
--cubase VST 5.0
--my interface is an Edirol UA-20 (with 24 bit ASIO drivers)

I've tried increasing my "buffer size" (in the ASIO control panel) as far as it'll go, i've afforded the maximum amount of memory to my audio channels. I don't have any additional components hooked up that could be throwing my "clocks" off. What about sampling rates? Could it be something else?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'm having a clicks n pops issue during playback as well -- in Logic, sometimes in iTunes -- ever since I installed Logic (didn't have them before installation). I remember having similar problems years ago when I was on a PC.. I'm guessing it's a driver issue, memory issue, or simple configuration issue (e.g., scratch disk assignment or something like that), but... I can't find any insight on the matter (google searches, and searching this forum).

I've got a 2Ghz Dual Core PowerMac G5, running 10.5.4, with 2GB RAM and plenty of hard dirve space.

Any and all insight is appreciated!

The 2 cents question: Where are the audio files?

If they are on the system drive, it's the reason.
If not, it has to be investigated.
