Hi all.....Logic noobie here..Can anyone please help with /direct me to a source of a ready mapped Logic environment template that covers the 828Mk11 ( also have Proteus fx sound mod.connected). I'm up against mad deadline to produce a piece of music and cant find the fundamental really really basic info I need re how to create environment that enables all devices to work together without conflict. There's no problem hearing the Proteus sounds through the Motu - it's not a question of hardware set up .

I'm hoping some kind soul will take pity and help me out of this mess and into understanding...and one day, I'll do the same for some other hapless novice! unsure.gif

As a side note, for everyone using Logic: If you have environement files, share them with us, we can make them available 365/24/7 for everyone and it'd be a great service to the community (same of manuals, repair manuals etc we have some waiting to be online, there's still a lot missing). Thank you

The motu is dealt with under the audio preferences. the envionment is for midi devices, and audio objects.

You cintrol the MOTU with the Cue Mix app..

I second that idea smile.gif Setting up an efficient environment is, and remains, one of the major time sinks of using Logic.

Speaking of CueMix, is this available to download anywhere, I have inherited a MOTU 828 mk1, but my friend can't find the cd, which I think had audiodesk, and possibly cue mix, does anyone know if cue mix works with an 828 mk1? Or is there any other way I can use the 828 as a mixer?
Thanks minskybabs

Oh dear I did fear that may be the case. I was hoping to get rid of the mixer as it takes up a lot of space (space at a premium due to office sharing post birth of No.1 son!), but that would maen I wouldn't hear the keyboard unless the computer was turned on which is a bit of a pain. Other than buy a smaller mixer, does anyone have any bright ideas?
Cheers minskybabs

I have the mk I also, most functions can be adjusted in the Sound preference panel or the Audio/Midi set up Utility.

Setting up envionments isn't all that hard, setup manager does all the work, but if you want to something exotic.

To get a better undersatanding of envionments go here...
