Hello everyone , my question is how do I go about getting a motorcycle sound in my mac and then have the ability to play that sound on a keyboard with the pitch changing ? I want to play a "song" using the sound. Is that possible . I have Garage band and Soundtrack do these do what I am asking?

THANKS

You can use KONTACT sampler to do this, upload motorbike sample and use midi keyboard to play the sound in whatever key you choose.
Or you can use sampletank.

Cheers

Kontakt is good, indeed, but might seem too complicated and costly to be starting with.

What you need is a "sampler" type of virtual instrument and the software you mentioned probably doesn't have any built-in ones. Try searching for "sampler" in "software" section of this site, there are some free software samplers, like TsampX, and some on them might have that real-time pitch transposition function that you need (every proper sampler should have it, actually, otherwise it's a "sample player").

Cheers!

PS: and if you also need a motorsycle sample, then there's http://www.sounddogs.com/ to check out - or http://sound-ideas.com/, if you prefer posh )
