Hi, this is not totally Logic related but i do use Logic. Anyway my Q is, When i am playing imported mIDI files from 3rd party CD's it gives me the option to listen to it through the quicktime little player thingy...anyway i want to hear drum sounds not piano as i'm using Drum MIDI...how do i change this from the piano sound to a drum sound (quicktime)?

QuickTime uses the General Midi protocol which means that the midi file needs to contain channel data and programme numbers. Drums need to be on midi channel 10 to work. There's a good guide for GM at:

http://www.midi.org/about-midi/gm/gm1sound.shtml

If your midi file doesn't contain the right information you'll need to edit it and insert the right numbers. Logic's event list will show you all the data in a file. You can also create new events to insert data.

Hope this helps!
