I have been using my Presonus Firepod for some time now, and it has worked well. I have recorded several songs with my band using it. However, lately I have been recording some stuff and I hear pops and clicks in the recordings, which has never happened before. When I first turned on the firepod, it was also making a kind of hissing sound (the actual device was making sound, not through the speakers).

I don't really know what could be causing these problems. Something that could have caused it is that a few weeks ago, I noticed that the Firepod's power plug had been fried. I switched to another plug I was using for my drum machine, and the Firepod turned on, so I assumed all was well.

Could that be the problem? Do I need to contact customer support, or is there some simple solution I'm just not seeing?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

I seem to have fixed the popping problem... for the moment at least. However, now I just can't playback the audio through the Firepod... I think this may be a setting in Cubase though, because you can hear instruments being monitored before the recording.

Does anyone know how I can fix this, or what was causing the other problems?

I really need help because my band is coming over to record tomorrow... sad.gif

Thanks,

Andrew
