Logic Won't Create Midi Sounds, Can't get Logic Express to work |

umm... you need something to take the MIDI data and make the sound - an external MIDI synth or a software one (audio instrument tracks!) This is not Garageband here ahahaha

I'm not sure I know anyone who didn't do this the first time they hit Logic...
In the channel strip (on the left of your screen), you'll see that your track has slots for EQ, Inserts, Sends and I/O. Click and hold on the empty first slot of your I/O - this is for your input. From the pull downs you'll see things like 'mono' and 'stereo' etc.... under those you'll find your 'instruments', pick something like the EFM1 and hit your MIDI controller... now you'll hear some sounds...
