It should work. Have installed any plug-in yet? If so, keep them out. Have you repaired permissions? I'll get back on this later no time now (got to make a little reading first)

I have Logic Pro 7.1 running with Tiger 10.4.1 on a G5 dual 2.0 with 1.5 RAM and no problems. I do have 2 internal hard drives, one for the apps and one for songs. Check permissions and perhaps do disk repair. Make sure to use the Tiger disk. Also, go to system prefs, energy saver, options - make sure processor performance is on "highest".

Personally, I had absolutely no problems at all. But, then again, I did a clean install. What kind did you do? If you can't get it up and running I'd suggest you save everything you can't easily reinstall to a seperate hard disk and then do an erase and install with Tiger. Get all the updates and then install Logic. Chances are you lost or moved some important Library files when you upgraded ( not that you personally did it, but stuff happens, you know). It doesn't matter if you try reinstalling Logic, because some of the OS level Library files aren't in the Logic install but are needed for Logic to work. Oh yeah, repair permissions after installing your updates, but before installing Logic. That should do the trick.

Guys, Many thanks for the replies. Sorry not to have mailed sooner - only I've been a bit out of it. No matter what I tried - Logic would not play - although, later - Lepetitmartien may have been right about a plug-in problem - but I don't know. The thing is - I'm no stranger to Mac - so I did everything by the book - back-ups, permissions repair, no dodgy software - it didn't work. I did an 'upgrade' install - but it seemed to be only Logic that fell over. So - and here's the reason for the late reply - I did a completely new install. The first thing back on was LogicPro 7.1 and it worked fine - complete with dodgy plug-ins (but I did get a warning - so..???) Now everything else is on and working fine. Well - apart from the fact that I don't seem to be able to send any mail - but that's for a different forum (sigh!). Many thanks again for the replies folks. Much appreciated. Be all that you can be! PT

I installed and ran Logic Pro 7 on Panther with no issues, installed Tiger and the Pro 7.1 update on the same day and Logic wouldn't get past the splash screen. I downloaded the file below and problem solved. It seems yours is working anyway, but should anyone else have the issue, try the update. Worked for me! Apple Pro Application Support
