I'm running Logic on a Mac G4. I get the same message every time I use it: "Error while trying to synchronize Audio and Midi. Sample rate 35569 recognized. Check conflict between Logic Platinum and external device."

I've scoured the forums, looking for an answer to this problem. No useful answers so far.

It makes me crazy, because it causes my audio to break up as I work, making any recording impossible and unuseable. At worst, the audio vanishes altogether, only to come back on its own after I let it set for a few moments.

Isn't there anyone out there with an answer to this problem? Given the fact that every forum has a complaint of this nature (I've seen them all!), isn't this a solvable problem?

Help?!?!?!?!

I have the same problem. I try a lot of things but it won't solve the problem. The Logic books are not a realy help in this. I go the MIDI prefferences and there is a button 'midi sync song settings'. Then i put the button 'trans midi clock' to the preset 'off'. It helped a bit. I freeze some tracks and so on and on. Now the messages are less then before. But even then sometimes it happens again.

So who knows realy what to do on that errors?

Hello. I am writing this to hopefully save others from the anger and pain they might be experiencing with this problem. I have Logic Audio Platinum 5.5.1 with a Motu 828 firewire interface on a Pentium 2.8, XP with 1 gig of ram. I use this computer as my main computer for all my computing needs as well as playing CD's I have saved on my hard drive or listening to streaming music on the web. Much like in Logic, the audio on my computer was cutting out and it was really annoying. It sucks when your all pepped up and want to play a really good song (or record one) and it just doesn't work.

This may not work for everyone but here is what solved the problem for me:

My firewire card was in the last slot on my PCI bus, just below my IDE raid card for all things. I simply moved the firewire card to a higher slot and it solved the problem. I really don't know everything about the PCI bus, but I do know that there can be conflicts. The computer is a strange beast. Sometimes it can be a hardware problem.

I hope I helped.

Tom
