Anyone had any joy with these? Is the card too good for just a electro drum kit, vox, bass and guitar? Or would any less expensive cards so the job? Card will be used on an Ibook 750mhz. cheers!

Strictly as an audio/midi interface. The mbox is priced above similar units by other manufacturers.
But it is the cheapest price of admission to get the Pro Tools software. So the question is: how badly do you need Pro Tools? Scott |

Also the Mbox comes with ProTools LE, so it doesn't have any dsp and wont make it any easier on your computer.... it is a simple setup to have going if that's what you're looking for though

unless you really need cheap pro tools - dont get the mbox. I have one and I regret it now that I dont use pro tools so much. The drivers are just crappy - not dependable and I/O latency (512 samples min. with apps other than pro tools) is too much for live work.
