440 Forums _ Getting Started _ Logic Pro Vs. Pro Tools

Écrit par : drewott ven. 3 mars 2006, 00:39

I searched the site for similar posts but found none, so hopefully this isn't a re-tread. Also, I figured this is appropriate in the "Getting Started" section since I am in fact getting started and need some advice.

Is it safe to say that I could buy Logic Pro and have everything I need for, sequencing, mixing, mastering, sampling, and multi-tracking? Accordingly, if I bought Logic Pro could I know I don't have to buy any other music production program or is that just the beginning?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

It is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.Logic Pro will fulfill all your requirements.Sonically it will depend on the type of converters you have as far as your audio interface is concerned!
I use Logic Pro and thinking of investing in Pro tools(002 Le)as a platform for strictly mixing audio files as they they come to hand in my Production work

...eh, what? blink.gif Sorry, I'm as close to a lay-person as it gets.

Also, why is logic pro not sufficient for your mixing needs.

Thanks for the reply!

It is sufficient, what he is saying that quality will vary slightly depending on the interface you purchase.

A cheap USB interface, will be ok, but it won't be pristene like more expensive interface. With a higher price you better quality components.

In most cases the average listener can't hear the difference.
