Does it show in the apple menu/about this mac/more info?

Have you tried basic maintenance (repair permissions, cleaning caches… use http://nav.440network.com/out.php?mmsc=forums&url=http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs/english.html if you don't have it)?

Have you reset the PMU http://nav.440network.com/out.php?mmsc=forums&url=http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319-en?

Maybe there's not enough power coming from the USB, if you have a USB hub try hooking it on it.

My US-122 has started to fault on audio. Distorted and fluctuating! Maybe the Tascam UB driver is not so good at the moment? We may just have to wait... good luck with your problem

I have the EXACT same problem as you, and from other forums I have read, we are not alone. I got a macbook for christmas, and my US-122 was working fine with my old PC but not with my new Mac. Others say it isn't compatible with tiger but it is with the earlier versions. If you have any luck with this let me know, and I'll do the same for you, but I think I made just try for a new interface.
